Iva Grubješić
ABOUT THE ARTIST
Iva is a photographer based in Croatia, whose work moves through themes of liminality, memory, and the body as a threshold. Drawn to abandoned spaces, mirrors, and quiet gestures, her images explore presence and absence, control and vulnerability, often blurring the line between documentation and inner landscape.
She works primarily with self-portraiture and collaborative portraiture, using the camera as a tool for introspection rather than performance. Her visual language is minimal, atmospheric, and rooted in emotional tension, allowing ambiguity to remain part of the image.
Her work has been exhibited in two exhibitions: a solo exhibition in her hometown, and a group exhibition with Les Balkanes in Paris. Alongside exhibitions, her photography has been shared through independent platforms and online publications, forming part of an ongoing exploration of identity, intimacy, and modern myth.
